EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven University baseball team (7-8-1) split the day at East Stroudsburg (12-6) after a dominating game-one victory.
Game 1: W, 9-0
Lock Haven jumped to an early 3-0 lead in the first inning on the way to a 9-0 dominating victory in game one. The Bald Eagles were led by
Isaac Porter (Beech Creek, Pa./St. Bonaventure) and
Reagan Lawlor (McMurray, Pa./Peters Township) who both turned in 2 RBI's.
The Haven finished with 12 hits in the game. Porter and Lawlor both finished with two hits.
Liam McArthur (Basking Ridge, N.J./Seton Hall),
John Banes (Springfield, Pa./Cumberland CC) and Demetruis Haskins (Pittsburgh, Pa./Taylor Allderdice) each added two hits of their own.
Game 2: L, 6-2
Lock Haven found themselves down 3-0 after the third inning. The Bald Eagles battled back with 2 runs in the fourth inning but were unable to take the lead.
LHU was led by
Joe Zgleszewski (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) who turned in two RBI's. The Haven finished with five hits from five different batters including Zgleszewski, Banes,
Jimmy Webb (Montoursville, Pa/Loyalsock),
Colby Hiddemen (Honey Brook, Pa./Twin Valley) and
Max Joseph (Marlton, N.J./Harford CC).
