The Lock Haven University men's and women's outdoor track & field teams are set to host the 2019 LHU Qualifier. The two-day meet is scheduled for Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4.
Only the javelin and 5,000-meter events will be held Friday, May 3. The women's javelin is scheduled for 5 p.m. and the men will follow. The 5K is set for 8 p.m. with the women running before the men.
The field events are set for a 12 p.m. start on Saturday, May 4
(high jump; men, women to follow). Track events are scheduled for a 1 p.m. start (
100/110-meter hurdles; women, men to follow).
This will mark Lock Haven's first home meet in six years. The last was held on May 4, 2013.

GRAND REOPENING OF THE LHU TRACK & FIELD COMPLEX:
As the summer wrapped up and the fall 2018 semester started, work on the new track & field facility and surface at Hubert Jack Stadium finished. The new surface looks fantastic and is a huge benefit to all that use it. Saturday's meet marks the first LHU home meet on the new surface. As part of Saturday's events, a ceremonial relay will mark the first event and kick off the meet. Running in the relay will be special guests, alums, former LHU standouts, LHU faculty representatives, community reps, and anchoring the relay will be LHU President Robert Pignatello. The ceremonial relay is set for noon.
SENIOR DAY:
Prior the ceremonial relay on Saturday, the LHU track & field program will honor its 2019 seniors.
