Game One: W, 5-1

The Bald Eagles knocked off Mansfield, 5-1 in game one.

LHU got the scoring started in the third inning when Casey Carpenter (Spring Brook, Pa./North Pocono) ripped an RBI single down the left field line to give LHU the 1-0 lead.

In the fourth, Bekah Slattery (Douglasville, Pa./Daniel Boone) helped her own cause when she sent a two-run double off the center field wall that plated two more runs and gave Lock Haven the 3-0 lead.

In the fifth, LHU extended the lead to 5-0 when Chloe Kennedy (Elkton, Md./Caraval Academy) drilled a two-run homer to left field.

Mansfield added a run late, but it wasn't enough as LHU defeated the Mounties, 5-1.

The offense was led by Becca Caputo (Williamsport, Pa./Jersey Shore) and Amanda Criss (Bel Air, Md./Bel Air). Caputo finished 2-4 with a run scored while Criss went 2-3 with a run scored.

Kennedy and Slattery each finished with two RBI's while Carpenter finished with one of her own.
