LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's soccer team (1-1-1, 1-1 PSAC East) fell to No. 23 Millersville University (4-0, 2-0 PSACE) 5-0 this afternoon at home in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East action.
Millersville got off to a quick start by scoring in the eighth minute of play and the visitors led 1-0 at halftime. MU went on to score four second-half goals.
Haven goalkepper
Karly Trillhaase (Eatontown, Ny./ Monmouth Regional) did all she could to keep Lock Haven in the game. Trillhaase finished with a season high six saves.
Trying to spark the Lock Haven offense was senior forward
Marah Foltz (Mountville, Pa./ Hempfield High) who finished with a team-high two shots on goal.
Turning in solid defensive and midfield play was
Josie Swartz (Mifflintown, Pa./Junita)
Anna Manley (Catawissa, Pa./ Southern Columbia) and
Erika Landis (Watsontown, Pa./ Warrior Run). The trio performed well in slowing down the Millersville attack.
