Syracuse, Ny. – The Lock Haven University men's soccer team (0-1, 0-0 PSAC) was edged 2-1 on the road at Le Moyne University in the 2019 season opener.
After a hard fought 40 minutes of play, Le Moyne tallied the first goal of the game in the 42nd minute to go up 1-0 at the half.
The Dolphins would extend their lead to 2-0 midway through the second half.
LHU continued to press and found a spark late when
Beckham Sibiski (Kutztown, Pa./Kutztown) fired a shot into the top left corner in the 86th minute.
Le Moyne held a 10-6 advantage in shots, but only five were on target. LHU goalkeeper
Jason Keller (State College, Pa,/ State College) finished with 3 saves.
Brian Flatter (Frederick, Md./Oakdale) lead the Bald Eagles with 2 shots in the game. Freshman
Andrea DiSomma (Lancaster, Pa./ Manheim Township) and
Kemali Green ( Philadelphia/ YSC Academy) each recorded a shot in their Lock Haven debut.
