LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's basketball team (8-7, 5-5 PSAC East) hits the road this weekend, heading down I-80 to meet local rival Bloomsburg (7-8, 4-6 PSAC East) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) contest was originally scheduled for Saturday afternoon, but was moved due to the impending snow storm this weekend.

RECAP:
  • Lock Haven fell to the West Chester Golden Rams, 69-76, in a mid-week matchup on Wednesday, Jan. 15. Despite a hard-fought battle from the Bald Eagles, West Chester was able to pull away at the end to secure their third straight win.
  • Freshman Marena Lonardi (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) and junior Rileigh Devine (Etters, Pa./Red Land) led the Bald Eagles offensively, notching 19 and 18 points respectively. Both shooters went perfect from the free throw stripe as Devine increased her PSAC-leading free throw percentage to .922, which is also good for fifth in the nation.
  • Jaynelle Robinson (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport (Monroe CC)) recorded a game-high 13 rebounds, her eighth double-digit rebound performance of the season. Robinson continues to lead the PSAC in boards this season with 165 (11.0/game), and sits seventh in the nation in rebounds.

THE SERIES:
  • The Bald Eagles were defeated by the Huskies 66-47 last season at Thomas Fieldhouse.
  • LHU is 2-12 against Bloomsburg all time, recording their last win over the Huskies on Dec. 30, 2017, a 66-57 victory. The Bald Eagles are 0-8 in Bloomsburg dating back to the 2011-12 season.

SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG:
  • The Huskies fell to Shippensburg 66-53 Wednesday evening (Jan. 15) as the Raiders outscored the Huskies 38-24 in the second half in a come-from-behind win.
  • The junior duo of Emma Saxton and Megan Brandt lead Bloomsburg offensively, as Saxton has recorded 149 points this season while Brandt sits second on the team with 144. Defensively, Taylor Montana leads the pack, bringing down a team-high 74 boards and notching 11 blocks.
  • Bloomsburg has made the least amount of three-point field goals in the PSAC this season, knocking down just 46 (3.3/game) compared to Lock Haven's 83 (5.2/game). On the flip side, the Huskies have one of the best blocked shots average in the conference, blocking an average of 4.14 shots a game.

UP NEXT: The Bald Eagles return home for another mid-week matchup as they face the Millersville Marauders next Wednesday, Jan. 22 at Thomas Fieldhouse. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
