LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's basketball team is set to host Millersville University tomorrow, Wednesday, January 22. The matchup between the Bald Eagles and Marauders is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
WEEKLY GAME NOTES:
The Bald Eagles enter Wednesday's matchup riding high on a four-game winning streak with wins over Mansfield, Shepherd, No. 12 West Chester and Bloomsburg. The Haven currently holds an 8-7 overall record and a 5-6 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) mark.
During their four game win streak the Bald Eagles have secured two straight PSAC East Athlete of the Week honors for their leading scorers.
Christian Kelly was honored by the conference this week after two 27 point performances and
Matt Cerruti took home the award for the week prior. Kelly currently leads the Bald Eagles and is 3
rd in the PSAC with 20.1 points per game with Cerruti in 5
th place in the conference just behind at 19.2 per game.
Millersville comes into tomorrow's contest at 8-9 overall with a 5-6 conference mark. The Marauders last time out was a nail-biting 73-72 loss to Shepherd on a last second three pointer. Khari Williams scored 13 points in that game and leads the Marauders in scoring this season at 13.9 points per game.
Last season, the two sides split the season series with the Bald Eagles winning late in the season 73-70 in overtime. Kelly came up huge in that game scoring 25 points and
Jesse McPherson dominated the overtime period with six points and clutch rebounding.
