LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's basketball team (9-7, 6-5 PSAC East) returns to the court tomorrow evening (Jan. 22) when they face the Millersville Marauders (5-11, 2-9 PSAC East) at Thomas Fieldhouse. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
THE SERIES:
- The Bald Eagles met the Marauders twice last season, defeating Millersville 66-57 at home just a month after dominating them 81-69 at Millersville. Lock Haven has won four of the last five matchups between the two.
- Millersville holds a series advantage of 10-6 dating back to the 2010-11 season.
NEED TO KNOW:
- LHU enters this week's game on the heels of a win over Bloomsburg this past weekend. The Bald Eagles, who trailed at halftime, used a strong second half to propel themselves to a 61-55 victory over the Huskies.
- The Marauders enter the mid-week matchup on a six-game losing streak, with their last win coming on Dec. 31, 2019, an 83-78 victory over Holy Family.
- Rileigh Devine (Etters, Pa./Red Land) has been one of the top scorers for the Bald Eagles, leading the team with 207 points. Devine, who notched a team-high 17 points in the win over Bloomsburg, has now recorded points in the double-digits in five consecutive games. Devine has also been lethal from the free throw line, earning a PSAC-best .909 free throw percentage, which puts her in a tie for 10th best in Division II Women's Basketball.
- Jaynelle Robinson (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport (Monroe CC)) continues to lead the PSAC in rebounds, recording 173 (10.8/game) so far this season. Robinson's 10.8 per game mark is a tie for 12th best in the nation, while her 4.6 offensive rebounds per game average is good for ninth best.
