LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's basketball team (12-13, 9-12 PSACE) fell to East Stroudsburg University (18-8, 14-7 PSACE), 92-83, on Senior Night in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division game.
Both squads shot the lights out in the first half with the Haven knocking down 56.6 percent from the floor, while the Warriors were just behind at 54.1 percent. Stingy defense late in the half from ESU allowed the Warriors to build up 54-37 halftime advantage.
Lock Haven made a run late in the second half and were able to close the gap to just five points with under two minutes remaining, but thanks to some clutch late shooting the Warriors held on for a 92-83 win.
Christian Kelly (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville) posted a team high 21 points along with 12 rebounds for his eighth double-double on the season. Kelly added three assists and went 8-9 from the free throw line.
Four total Bald Eagles hit double figures on the night as
Jesse McPherson (Philadelphia/Archbishop Carrol),
Trevor Lecuona (Baltimore, Md./ Oakdale) and
Nasir Campbell (Philadelphia/ Simon Gratz) all reached the mark.
McPherson notched 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds while Lecuona tallied 15 points and handed out a team high four assists. Campbell chipped in 11 points and also hauled in seven boards.
Despite the loss, the Haven held a decisive 39-26 advantage on the glass led by Kelly's 12. The Bald Eagles also gained a 10-3 lead in offensive rebounds led by Lecuona who grabbed four.

Lock Haven will wrap up the regular season on the road against Millersville on Saturday, February 29. That game is set for a 3:00 p.m. tipoff.
