LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's basketball team (10-10, 7-8 PSAC East) is set to face the Mansfield Mountaineers (3-18, 1-14 PSAC East) in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East matchup this Wednesday, Feb. 5, with tip-off set for 5:30 p.m.

THE SERIES:
  • Lock Haven dominated the Mounties 76-47 earlier this season (Jan. 8) at Thomas Fieldhouse as eleven different Bald Eagles made their mark on the score sheet. Rileigh Devine (Etters, Pa./Red Land) led the Bald Eagles against Mansfield in the last outing, recording 14 points while nailing four of five three-point attempts.
  • The Bald Eagles have won the past four matchups with the Mounties, and are 14-3 against Mansfield dating back to the 2010-11 season.

NEED TO KNOW:
  • Mansfield enters the matchup on a 10-game losing streak, most recently falling to West Chester 52-79 on the road. The Mounties last win came on Dec. 21, 2019, a 62-59 buzzer-beating victory over Clarion.
  • Lock Haven fell to the Shepherd Rams last Saturday (Feb. 1), 56-72, at Thomas Fieldhouse in a PSAC East matchup.
  • Devine led the Bald Eagles against Shepherd, notching 12 points while adding eight rebounds and a steal. Devine's eight rebounds tied a season high for the senior guard. Ahnera Parker (Lancaster, Pa./J.P. McCasky) and Bink Redman (York, Pa./William Penn) rounded out the double-digit scorers, adding 11 points apiece. Parker led Lock Haven on the glass, recording 10 rebounds to mark her second double-double of the season, while Redman added six.
  • Another six rebounds from Jaynelle Robinson (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport (Monroe CC)) against the Rams increased her PSAC-leading total to 204 (10.2/game). Robinson's 4.3 offensive rebounds per game mark places her in the top 15 of NCAA DII Women's Basketball.

UP NEXT: The Bald Eagles return home this weekend when they host Kutztown in a PSAC East matchup on Saturday, Feb. 8 at Thomas Fieldhouse. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m.
