LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's basketball team (15-12, 12-10 PSAC East) will take on the Shepherd Rams (20-8, 14-8 PSAC East) in round one of the 2020 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament on Monday, March 2. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m.

This year marks the second consecutive playoff appearance for the Bald Eagles, who advanced to the quarter finals last year for the first time in 28 years. Since head coach Jennifer Smith took over in July 2007, Lock Haven has made four playoff appearances.

In playoff action last year, the Bald Eagles downed East Stroudsburg 72-65 in the first round to advance to the quarter finals, where they fell to Kutztown 64-81. LHU's win over East Stroudsburg was its first playoff win since 1991.

Tomorrow's matchup will mark Shepherd's first ever PSAC Tournament appearance. Shepherd, located in Shepherdstown, W. Va., joined the PSAC for the 2019-20 season, having previously competed in the Mountain East Conference (MEC) since its inception in 2013.

The Bald Eagles fell to the Rams in both regular season matchups this year, falling 64-71 on January 11 before dropping their second matchup 56-72 on February 1.

LHU finished the regular season at 15-12 after defeating the Millersville Marauders 74-60 on Saturday afternoon. The 15 wins for the Bald Eagles are the most in a single season since Lock Haven won 17 in 2005-06.
