LHU Athletics Homecoming Week Schedule of Events
Full Lock Haven University Homecoming Event Information & Schedule
On Saturday, Oct. 23 at 12:30 p.m., an event will be held to celebrate the newly-installed turf at Charlotte Smith Field.
The Lock Haven University field hockey team is set host Davidson College in an important late-season Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) match on Sunday, October 24 at 12 p.m. The home match on Charlotte Smith Field will close a busy week of LHU athletics during Homecoming Week 2021 at The Haven.
Lock Haven (5-7 overall, 2-3 Atlantic 10) is coming off a pair of back-to-back victories at home. LHU opened last weekend with a crucial conference win over Richmond. The Bald Eagles blanked Richmond 3-0 for LHU's first shutout of the 2021 season. On Sunday (Oct. 17), LHU made it two in a row as the Bald Eagles shutout Sacred Heart 2-0 in non-conference action.
The two wins at home leveled Lock Haven's record to 3-3 on the home turf this season. The two home games last week also marked the first two contests of a regular-season ending four-game homestand.
Davidson is 2-12 overall and 0-4 in A-10 play. The Wildcats will play at nationally-ranked Saint Joseph's (A-10) on Friday (Oct. 22), before traveling to Lock Haven Sunday. LHU has won six straight contests vs. Davidson dating back to 2014.

- Lock Haven posted back-to-back shutouts last weekend, the first two shutouts of the season for the Bald Eagles.
- On Monday (Oct. 18), freshman Jasmine Miller was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for her brilliant efforts over the weekend. MORE INFO. HERE.
- Leading the way offensively for Lock Haven is Martina Spangenberg, who has six goals, four assists and a team-best 16 points. Her 16 points are tied for the fourth-most in the A-10. Spangenberg's six goals are the tied for the team-lead.
- Constanza Lopez Zabala has six goals, two assists and 14 total points.
- The aforementioned Miller is on a roll as of late and has four goals, two assists and 10 points for the Bald Eagles.
- Amy Stevens continues to provide an offensive punch with eight points (2G, 4A).
- Goalkeeper Joaquina Orlandini has logged every minute between the posts this season for Lock Haven. Her 6.75 saves-per-game lead the A-10 and her 81 total saves are third-best in the league. Orlandini's 0.779 save-percentage is third in the A-10 and her 1.88 goals-against-average is fifth in the Atlantic 10 entering the weekend.
