The Lock Haven University field hockey team will close the 2021 regular season at home on Saturday, October 30 vs. nationally-ranked Massachusetts. The Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) match is set for an 11 a.m. start.
The Bald Eagles will honor their three graduating seniors:
Karina Long,
Joaquina Orlandini and
Genni Martinelli.
LHU is 5-8 overall and coming off a narrow 2-1 double-OT loss to Davidson in A-10 play. The match – held last Sunday (Oct. 24) – capped Lock Haven's 2021 Homecoming festivities. The Bald Eagles are 2-4 in Atlantic 10 action.
UMass enters the weekend ranked No. 18 in the most recent National Field Hockey Coaches' Association (NFHCA) national poll. The Minutewomen are 12-5 overall and 4-2 in conference play.

- Leading the way offensively for Lock Haven is Martina Spangenberg, who has seven goals, four assists and a team-best 18 points. Her 18 points are tied for the fourth-most in the Atlantic 10 this season. Spangenberg's seven goals are the fifth-most in the A-10.
- Constanza Lopez Zabala has six goals, two assists and 14 total points.
- Jasmine Miller has four goals and two assists (10 PTS) and Amy Stevens has eight points (2G, 4A) on the season.
- Goalkeeper Joaquina Orlandini has logged every minute (810+) between the posts this season for Lock Haven. Her 6.31 saves-per-game are second in the A-10 and she ranks third in save-percentage (.766). Orlandini's 1.85 goals-against-average is fourth-best in the league and her 82 total saves rank sixth. The standout's 6.31 saves-per-game mark is the 12th-best in Division I.
