After another week away from home, the Lock Haven University football team is looking forward to hosting nationally-ranked Shepherd University on Saturday, October 9. The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division contest is set for a 1p.m. start at LHU's Hubert Jack Stadium.
 
Shepherd is 4-1 overall (1-1 PSAC East) and the Rams are ranked No. 16 (tie) in this week's American Football Coaches' Association (AFCA) Division II national poll. Shepherd is coming off a 59-27 win over Shippensburg University. The Rams are 3-0 in road games this season.
 
Saturday's Week-6 clash marks just the second home game of the season for Lock Haven. LHU dropped its long-awaited home-opener (Week 4, Sept. 25) to East Stroudsburg two weeks ago. Overall, the Bald Eagles are 1-4 and 0-2 in PSAC East play. Lock Haven is coming off a narrow 31-29 defeat at Millersville University in what proved to be a wild back-and-forth divisional clash. The Haven's victory came in the season-opener at Lincoln.
 
Lock Haven and Shepherd met in 2019 for the first time in school history at Hubert Jack Stadium. The 2019-20 season marked Shepherd's first in the PSAC.
 
This week's action marks the second of five scheduled home games for Lock Haven during the 2021 regular season. Looking ahead, LHU will host Kutztown University on Saturday, October 23 in the Bald Eagles 2021 Homecoming game. It will be back-to-back home games for Lock Haven as LHU will host West Chester on Saturday, October 23, before closing the season with a Week-11 home game vs. Seton Hill.

LHU Fall Athletic Event Spectator Policy - -
On September 1, the LHU department of athletics announced its spectator policy for the fall 2021 season and fans are welcome to attend all events hosted by LHU. For outdoor venues, face coverings are not required, but LHU encourages social distancing. In conjunction with full and current LHU policy, face coverings are required indoors on campus. On August 13, LHU instituted an updated indoor masking mandate for the entire campus which included all athletic facilities. The updated campus policy requires all students, staff, coaches, officials and spectators to wear proper face coverings indoors. The practice will stand regardless of a person's vaccination status. Athletes will not be required to wear masks during competition.

*The ticket gate will open two hours before kickoff (11 a.m.).
 
Parking Information - -
Game day parking is available in the Akeley Hall and Zimmerli Gymnasium parking lots. 
 
Transportation - -
Please note, transportation – via a game day shuttle – will be provided Saturday (Oct. 9) from noon until one hour after the game. The shuttle will run from the Thomas Fieldhouse circle, through the Zimmerli parking lot and to Hubert Jack Stadium.

As of September 21, single-game tailgate passes are on sale. Purchase your single-game tailgate pass for $50 by visiting the tailgate registration page at GoLHU.com.
 
The tailgate lot will open at 9 a.m. Saturday.
 
LHU Tailgating Policies & Procedures

• All Tailgating/Parking Passes come with two game admission tickets.
• All tailgate pass purchases are non-refundable.
• If space allows, a limited number of tailgate spots may be available on game day for $50.

 
Pet Policy - -
Per the LHU athletics pet policy, no pets are allowed inside any LHU athletic venue, including Hubert Jack Stadium. Please note: Service animals specifically trained to aid a person with a disability are welcome.
