LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (4-20, 2-12 PSAC) fell to East Stroudsburg (17-9, 12-2 PSAC) in three sets (25-13, 25-16, 25-14) of Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action.
The Bald Eagles honored their five seniors before tonight's match:
Souadou Bangoura (Evanston, Ill./Evanston Twp. (Lincoln Trail)),
Madison Goodwin (Greencastle, Pa./Greencastle Antrim),
Jada Dauberman (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain),
Krystal Heffelfinger (Danielsville, Pa./Northampton) and
Jaiden Yocca (Hershey, Pa./Hershey).
Gabriela Fialova (Ledec nad Sazavou, Czech Republic/ (Indian River)) led the team in kills today, notching seven up front.
Ella McBride (Arlington Heights, Ill./Buffalo Grove) saw time at libero and played well, collecting ten digs.
The Bald Eagles added seven aces to their season total.
Tonight's match marked the conclusion of the season for the 2021 LHU volleyball team, which played well down the stretch.
Last night, the Bald Eagles picked up a four-set win over Kutztown and managed 21 aces in the process (a PSAC high on the year). Despite the conclusion of the season the future is bright for a young LHU volleyball program.
