After the opening 45 minutes, the two sides were locked into a tight defensive battle, but LHU peppered the Mansfield goalkeeper with 14 second half shots. Despite their best efforts the Mountie defense held strong, and the game was forced into overtime at 0-0.
Ultimately, Mansfield finally found the breakthrough in the 92
nd minute when Emily Smith knocked home the overtime winner for the Mounties.
The Haven logged 21 shots in the clash but were unable to find the back of the net.
