THREE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW:

1. Lock Haven goal scorers - -
Martina Spangenberg, Amy Stevens, Billie Jo Bollinger and Constanza Lopez Zabala have all scored once this season for LHU. Spangenberg leads the team with one goal and two assists (4 pts.).

2. Haven strong at home - -
Entering Friday's match, LHU is 1-1 at home on the season. Dating back to 2019, Lock Haven is 9-6 at home in its last 15 games. During the limited spring 2021 season LHU was 2-1 at home and Lock Haven was 6-4 at home during the 2019 season. One of those six home wins in 2019 came vs. VCU, 1-0.

3. VCU looking to defending title - -
VCU (Virginia Commonwealth) is 2-2 on the season and is the defending A-10 champion after the Rams won the 2020-21 conference title. When VCU won last year's Atlantic 10 title it snapped a string of three straight Saint Joseph's championships. The A-10 title marked the first in school history for VCU in the sport of field hockey and pushed the Rams into the 2020-21 NCAA Tournament, where they fell to Bucknell, 2-1 (April 30, 2021).

UP NEXT:
Following Friday's match with VCU, Lock Haven will head to Georgetown for a 1 p.m. non-conference contest on Sunday, September 19.
