SHEPHERDSTOWN, W. Va. –The Lock Haven University men's basketball team (6-12, 3-11 PSAC) dropped a road contest with Shepherd University (8-9, 4-7 PSAC), 79-60, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Bald Eagles got the action started in the opening minutes of the game and grabbed a 9-3 lead in the early goings. After the Rams knotted the game at 13-13, a quick spurt put LHU back in front 19-13. The rest of the half however, belonged to the Rams who jumped in front and stretched their lead to 38-28 at the halftime break.
 
In the second half, the Rams kept the Bald Eagles at distance and led by as many as 22 points. A strong 54.7 percent from the field helped Shepherd bring home the 79-60 victory.
 
DaQuan Granberry (Linwood, Pa./Chichester) paced the Bald Eagles scoring with 15 points and he also grabbed four rebounds.
 
Jesse McPherson (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Carroll) chipped in 10 points as one of two Bald Eagles in double figures. McPherson went a perfect 4-4 from the field and also grabbed four rebounds.
 
Isaiah Stewart (Madison, Wis./Madison La Follette) rounded out the LHU scoring with nine points. Stewart also nabbed three steals.

th. That game is scheduled for a 3:00 p.m. tipoff.
