SHEPHERDSTOWN, W. Va. –The Lock Haven University women's basketball team (8-10, 5-9 PSAC) fell on the road to Shepherd University (15-3, 9-3 PSAC), 78-50, in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action on Saturday afternoon.
Hot shooting in the first quarter saw the Rams build up a 18-6 lead at the end of the first period. The form continued in the second quarter and Shepherd took a decisive 39-16 lead into the halftime break.
The second half scoring continued for the Rams as Shepherd ended the game shooting 44 percent from the field. Shepherd led by as many as 36 points in the half and pulled away for the 78-50 win.
Jackie Fetsko (Marion Center, Pa./Marion Center) led the Bald Eagles with nine points and eight rebounds.
Jaynelle Robinson (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport (Monroe CC)) hauled in a game-high 14 rebounds for LHU.
Audrey Weigl (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) notched eight points of her own and added three rebounds.
