LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven volleyball team (1-19, 1-7 PSAC East) dropped a home contest against West Chester (17-7, 5-4 PSAC East), 3-0 (25-19, 25-20 & 25-23) on Friday night in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division action at the Thomas Fieldhouse.

In the first set, West Chester started quickly. They bounced out to a 4-1 lead and never looked back. They went on to win the set 25-19, despite a late Lock Haven surge.

The Golden Rams took the second set 25-20, and in a back and forth third set came out on top 25-23 to take home the conference victory.

Gabriela Fialova (Ledec nad Sazavou, Czech Republic/ (Indian River)) led the way for The Haven and posted a team-high nine kills. She also added 10 digs.

Kelly Gaston (Centennial, Colo./Grandview) dished out a game-high 25 assists, and on the defensive end,
Madison Eckley (Julian, Pa./Bald Eagle) collected a team-high 13 digs.

The Haven are right back in action at Thomas Fieldhouse tomorrow (Oct. 22) afternoon with a 1 p.m. contest against Millersville. That game also serves as the Dig Pink Game for the Bald Eagles.
