EDINBORO, Pa. – The Lock Haven University football team closed the 2022 season today (Saturday, Nov. 12) with an extremely hard-fought effort on the road at Edinboro in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East-West crossover action. Despite the strong outing from the Bald Eagles, the host Fighting Scots (5-6, 2-5 PSAC West) pulled away in the fourth quarter, and won, 26-13.
Behind a pair of first-half field goals from kicker
Brett Zachman (Leesburg, Fla./Eustis (Dordt)), the Bald Eagles were locked up in a 6-6 tie at halftime. Zachman connected from 39 yards out to give Lock Haven a 3-0 lead midway through the first quarter, and early in the second quarter, his kick from 32 yards made it 6-6.

Samuel Barber (Johnstown, Pa./Greater Johnstown) connected with wide receiver
Marquon Williams (Kenosha, Wis./Bradford (Minnesota State University-Mankato)) on a 21-yard pass-play. The Lock Haven touchdown tied the game at 13-13 with just 28 seconds into the fourth quarter.
Edinboro tallied two touchdowns in the final 11 minutes of action to pull away and secure the victory late.
Lock Haven quarterbacks
Matt Stanton (Fords, N.J./Woodbridge) and S. Barber threw for 203 and 126 yards, respectively. Williams made six catches for 143 yards and he hauled in the TD-pass from S. Barber.
Kenneth Pettiford (Long Pond, Pa./Pocono Mountain West) had four catches for 122 yards.
Jaderian Johnson (Pensacola, Fla./Tate (North Dakota SCS)) led a defensive unit that recorded five sacks on the day. Johnson had 10 tackles, including seven solo stops, and
Darryl Pollard (Philadelphia/Upper Darby) had eight stops.
Austin Barber (Johnstown, Pa./Greater Johnstown) tallied seven tackles and
Kasir Henry (Philadelphia/School of the Future (Anna Maria)) had seven tackles, one interception, and a pass breakup on the day.
Isiah Gonzalez (Philadelphia, Pa./Olney (Alvernia)) recorded two of Lock Haven's five sacks.
Lock Haven (1-10 overall, 0-7 PSAC East) opened the season on Sept. 3 with a thrilling 35-34 victory on the road over Post, and last week (Week-10, Nov. 5) during the final home game of the regular season, the Bald Eagles honored their graduating seniors - the aforementioned
