Setting the Stage:

The Lock Haven Division I men’s wrestling team is back at home for its first home dual of the 2022-23 season. The Bald Eagles host Davidson in the White-Out match on Thursday (Dec. 1) starting at 7 p.m., followed by a trip to the Patriot Open hosted by George Mason on Sunday (Dec. 4).

Last Time Out:

On Sunday (Nov. 27), the Bald Eagles host the Mat Town Open I in Thomas Fieldhouse. It was the first time in 2022-23 that The Haven competed at home, and the Bald Eagles shined. Tyler Stoltzfus and Avery Bassett both claimed individual titles as LHU gathered up eight total place-winners.

Opponent History:

The Bald Eagles meet Davidson for just the third time in school history. Most recently, The Haven thumped the Wildcats 31-6 back in 2013. Thursday’s match will be highlighted by the return of Davidson head coach Nate Carr Jr., who previously served as the Bald Eagles assistant coach for the past six seasons and helped guide Lock Haven to the 2022 Mid-American Conference (MAC) title.
