LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University lacrosse team (4-2, 1-1 PSAC West) was edged out by Indiana (Pa.) University (4-2, 1-1 PSAC West), 13-12, today in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division thriller that needed overtime.

Trailing 12-11 late, Lock Haven's
Josey Shaffer (Westminster, Md./Manchester Valley) scored with 18 seconds left in regulation to tie the contest at 12-12, but visiting IUP scored 1:18 into overtime to secure the victory. The winning goal came from Indiana's Chloe Borland.

For Shaffer, her goal in the final seconds of regulation was one of two she netted in the game. Shaffer also had four ground balls and three draw controls.

Standout-goalkeeper
Lauren Girardi (Watertown, N.Y./Watertown) kept LHU in the contest with a nine-save effort. She also scooped up eight ground balls.

Caitlin Morrow (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) scored four goals and added an assist to pace The Haven attack.

Abby Katrinak (Strongsville, Ohio/ Strongsville) scored twice and dished out three assists and
Krysta Reading (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) pushed out a trio of helpers to go along with a two-goal effort of her own.

Zoe Waddell (Catonsville, Md./Catonsville) scored a goal and added an assist, while
Abby Greene (Winter Springs, Fla./Park Vista Community) scored once for LHU.

Campbell Brant (Shoreham, N.Y./Shoreham-Wading River) helped a strong LHU effort and contributed three caused turnovers.
Gracie Chaires (Darlington, Md./Hartford Technical) also turned in a notable effort on the defensive end.

Today's game marked the first in a four-game homestand for Lock Haven. Next up for the Bald Eagles is a PSAC West clash with Mercyhurst on Saturday, March 26 at 1 p.m. on LHU's Charlotte E. Smith Field.
