SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven University baseball team (7-17, 1-9 PSAC East) dropped a single nine-inning game to Shippensburg (11-17, 6-4 PSAC East) 22-2 on Friday afternoon in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division match-up.

The Raiders got things going in the second inning with four runs and never looked back. Shippensburg racked up a total of 21 hits and 22 runs including a six-run fifth inning.

Lock Haven's offense saw
Garrett Nepert (Preston, Md./Colonel Richardson (Chesapeake County CC)) notch two of the 11 Bald Eagles hits and he also drove in a run in the ninth inning on a single to right field. Nepert finished the day 2-4 at the plate and he also scored a run.

Justin Lichtenwalner (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) drove in the other Bald Eagle run in the third inning with an RBI-single to drive home Nepert.

Zach Kaatz (Stafford, Va./Mountain View) also recorded two hits for The Haven on a 2-4 day at the plate.
Camden Moors (Johnstown, Pa./West Mont Hilltop) notched the lone extra base hit for LHU with a double in the top of the seventh.

The Bald Eagles wrap up their weekend series at home tomorrow with a doubleheader (7 inn./9 inn.) versus Shippensburg at Watkins Field. First pitch of game one is set for 12 p.m.
