Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – The Lock Haven University tennis team (2-4, 0-1 PSAC) opened the spring portion of the 2021-22 season with a road matchup versus Shepherd University (4-5, 1-1 PSAC) on Saturday afternoon. The Bald Eagles fell to the Golden Rams 5-2
in what was the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) opener for LHU.
 
In the singles, Maddy Reeves (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville (Shippensburg)) and Joaquina Orlandini (Concordi, Argentina/San Antonio School) both earned victories for Lock Haven. Reeves defeated Isabella Mascari in No. 1 singles 6-2, 6-4.
 
In her first competition as a Bald Eagle, Orlandini earned the victory 6-3, 6-4 as the standout LHU field hockey player impressed in her first tennis appearance.
 
Reeves picked up another win in No. 1 doubles as she teamed up with Mia Shuler (Williamsport, PA/Williamsport) to pick up an impressive 6-3 over Shepherd's Isabella Mascari and Ally Frushour.
