Tennis concludes spring opening weekend against Frostburg State

The LHU tennis team concluded its spring opening weekend today, with a match against Frostburg State in Williamsport.

Box Score WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Lock Haven University tennis team (2-5, 0-1 PSAC) met with Frostburg State University (4-6) and fell to the Bobcats 5-2 on Sunday afternoon. This weekend's matches signified the start of the spring portion of the 2021-22 schedule for the Bald Eagles.
 
In doubles action, the duo of Delani Wolever (Northumberland, Pa./Shikellamy) and Christy McLean (Jim Thorpe, Pa/Jim Thorpe) earned the win at No. 2 doubles, 6-3. That marks the first doubles win of the spring season for the pair.
 
On the singles side of action, Mia Shuler (Williamsport, PA/Williamsport) picked up the win at No. 2 singles. In contentious action, she split with Frostburg State's Immanuella Odiong, 2-6 and 6-3, before picking up the tiebreaker victory 6-3.
 
Olivia Sharp (York, Pa/York County School of Technology) added a singles win for LHU at No. 5 singles in similar fashion. She split with her foe, 6-4 and 2-6, before she won the tiebreaker 10-8.
