LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University lacrosse team (8-8, 5-7 PSAC West) closed the 2022 season in style, thanks to a dominating 20-1 win over visiting Edinboro University (2-15, 0-12 PSAC West) Saturday afternoon in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division action.

Today's season-finale marked LHU's 2022 Senior Day and the Bald Eagles honored a special group that made many significant contributions to the program. The standout-seniors include
Campbell Brant (Shoreham, N.Y./Shoreham-Wading River),
Lauren Girardi (Watertown, N.Y./Watertown),
Caitlin Morrow (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa),
Krysta Reading (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) and
Zoe Waddell (Catonsville, Md./Catonsville).

The seniors combined for 11 of the 20 goals including Girardi's first-career goal. Girardi, LHU's standout-goalkeeper, played between the pipes in the opening half and made two saves over 30 minutes.
Brant had a game-high four assists and closes the season as LHU's assist leader with 20.

Waddell led the way with four goals, and both Morrow and Reading netted hat tricks. Morrow wraps her 2022 season as the team-lead with 48 goals, a mark good enough for sixth in the PSAC.
In all, nine players scored for Lock Haven.
Josey Shaffer (Westminster, Md./Manchester Valley) scored three goals and
Abby Katrinak (Strongsville, Ohio/ Strongsville) scored twice.
Emma Schiemer (Prince Frederick, Md./Huntington) scored two goals.
Casey Hibbard (Ontario, N.Y./Wayne Central) and
Abby Hampson (Adamstown, Md./Tuscarora) both scored in the win.

With the win, Lock Haven moved to 8-8 overall to finish at .500 for the season. The victory also helped the Bald Eagles sweep the season series with Edinboro. LHU beat Edinboro 16-2 on April 5 in PSAC West play.
