BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven University baseball team (9-32, 2-22 PSAC East) traveled to Bloomsburg University (25-19-1, 14-9-1 PSAC East) for the final game of the 2022 regular season as the two faced off in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division play, and the Huskies came away with the 9-5 victory.

The Bald Eagles began the contest with a 2-0 lead in the top of the first.
Joe Shannon (Warminster, Pa./William Tennent (Mercer CC)) delivered an RBI-double, scoring
Justin Lichtenwalner (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield).
Blaise Zeiders (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove) doubled the lead with a sacrifice fly to score
Jake Mastillo (Roaring Brook Twp, Pa./North Pocono).

The Huskies collected eight unanswered runs over the next five innings, blasting four home runs over the wall to build an 8-2 lead after the fifth inning.

In the top of the sixth, LHU's offense kept the game alive as six batters reached base. A wild pitch and an error brought Zeiders and
Garrett Nepert (Preston, Md./Colonel Richardson (Chesapeake County CC)) into home plate. Mastillo later connected on a first pitch to score
Cameron Kutchey (Smithsburg, Md./Smithsburg) and bring the Bald Eagles within three at 8-5.

Bloomsburg, however closed out the final innings and added one more insurance run in the bottom of the eighth to take the afternoon meeting, 9-5.
