KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's soccer team (3-6-1, 1-6-1 PSAC East) visited Kutztown University (6-2-1, 5-2-1 PSAC East) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division action on Wednesday night, and the Golden Bears defended their home field, and won the game, 2-0.
The two conference opponents were locked in a scoreless draw for the entire first half as Megan Miller (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) stopped all three shots on goal by the home team to keep the game scoreless.
Kutztown and Lock Haven remained inseparable until the 64th minute when the Golden Bears inked the stat sheet with a goal by Isabella Rossetti. The junior added an insurance goal for the home team in the 68th minute to finish the scoring and snag the victory, 2-0.
Josie Swartz (Mifflintown, Pa./Juniata) provided two shots on goal for the Bald Eagles, with Abby Burdyn (Landisville, Pa./Hempfield) and Jocelynne Kuhns (Mount Holly Springs, Pa./Boiling Springs) each landing one on goal as well.
