Men’s Basketball Drops Home Contest Against Millersville

Dymir Montague joins the exclusive group of 1,000-point scorers, but Lock Haven falls at home on Saturday afternoon.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Lock Haven University men's basketball team (11-5, 7-4 PSAC) and Millersville University (9-8, 6-5 PSAC) went head-to-head in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) game on Saturday afternoon with the visitors coming out on top 73-67.
 
Highlighting the afternoon was Dymir Montague (Philadelphia, Pa./Neumann-Goretti) hitting the 1,000 career-point mark. Montague went on to finish the game with eight points, three rebounds and two steals.
Lock Haven looked to grab a conference win as The Haven entered as one of the top teams in the PSAC. Millersville set the rhythm early and they held the lead the through the first half and never gave up the lead. 
 
Early in the second half, the Bald Eagles looked to cut into the Marauders lead. Jayy Davis (Cheltenham, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham (Washington Adventist)) started to heat up down the stretch and brought Lock Haven within two, but that was be the closest The Haven got in the final. minutes. Davis finish with 18 points to lead all scorers. Millersville tightened up defensively down the stretch and brought home the 73-67 win. 
 
Eli Washington (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) added 12 points and Jalen Gorham (York, Pa./MacDuffie School (Saint Michael's)) ended the night with 16 points and four rebounds to round a trio of Bald Eagles in double figures.
