For the first time in 2023, the Bald Eagles are back for the Weekend Preview (Friday, Jan. 6 – Sunday, Jan. 8), and four teams will be in action, including two at home in The Haven.

Women’s Basketball:

The Haven women return home to Thomas Fieldhouse on Saturday for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) clash with Bloomsburg at 1 p.m. Freshman guard Alana Robinson made her mark early in her Bald Eagle career and ranks eighth in the conference with a .467 shooting percentage and third with 1.4 blocks per game.

Men’s Basketball:

Sporting their best record through 11 games since the 1989-90 season, the Bald Eagles sit at 9-2 and deadlocked in a tie for first place in the PSAC. On Saturday, The Haven host Bloomsburg at 3 p.m. looking to continue their 4-0 record in the Thomas Fieldhouse. The Bald Eagles strong start has been powered by its conference fifth-best scoring defense, which allows just 67.2 points per game.

Men’s Wrestling:

The Bald Eagles send 24 wrestlers to Friday’s David Lehman F&M Open hosted by Franklin & Marshall. Action gets underway at 9 a.m. in Lancaster, Pennsylvania with an expected field of over 500 wrestlers. 

In the latest set of InterMat rankings, Anthony Noto stayed put in the No. 20 spot at 125 pounds. Noto sits at 12-2 on the season.

Women’s Wrestling:

The No. 18 Bald Eagles head to Chicago for the 2023 National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Multi-Division National Dual Meet Championships on Friday and Saturday. Lock Haven opens the action with a 10 a.m. showdown against No. 4 McKendree University in the round of 16. With a win, The Haven will wrestle again at 1 p.m. in the quarterfinal round.

Lock Haven’s No. 18 spot in the latest NWCA rankings is buoyed by freshman Kaelani Shufeldt who sits at No. 7 at 109 pounds.
