LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven field hockey team (5-12) closed the 2023 regular season today (Sun., Oct. 29) at home and visiting Sacred Heart (7-10) edged the Bald Eagles 1-0 in a tight non-conference match.
Prior to the start of today's contest, head coach
Anna Rogers and the Lock Haven field hockey team honored the 2023 seniors. The standout senior-class includes
Anna May Barbusca (Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor),
Martina Spangenberg (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Piaget),
Lauren Mullery (Nanticoke, Pa./Holy Redeemer) and student-assistant coach
Mia Impagliazzo.
Isabelle Chamberlain scored the only goal of the contest late in the match.
Goalkeeper
Kelsey Felix (Hallam, Pa./Eastern York) closed a strong 2023 season with a six-save effort today.
The aforementioned seniors - Barbusca and Spangenberg did all they could to spark the offense.
Elien Bos (Eelde, Netherlands/CSG Augustinus College),
Brooke Hofsass (Hershey, Pa./Lower Dauphin) and
Alexis Kern (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna Twp.) turned in notable outings.
Today marked the final game of the 2023 season for Lock Haven. The Bald Eagles finished the season with a 5-12 overall record and The Haven went 2-5 in Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) play with wins over Richmond and Davidson. This fall marked the first season as head coach for Coach Rogers.
