LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The No. 23 Lock Haven men's wrestling team is set for a busy weekend of action on the road.

The Bald Eagles will open the weekend on Saturday, Nov. 11 at the Journeymen Wrangle Mania event, to be held at Liberty High School in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Lock Haven will open its dual slate vs. No. 13 Arizona State at 2 p.m., before taking on Army at 4 p.m.

On Sunday, Nov. 12, several Bald Eagles will compete at the Journeymen Collegiate Classic, hosted by Freedom High School in Bethlehem, Pa. The round robin style tournament will start at 9 a.m. Sunday.

Lock Haven's projected weekend lineup is listed below.

This week, Lock Haven (0-0) checked in at No. 23 in the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division I Men's National Coaches Poll. Arizona State (0-0) is ranked No. 13 this week.

Returning All-American Anthony Noto will make his much anticipated 2023-24 season debut Saturday for Lock Haven, and he will do so as the nation's top-ranked 125-pounder. Noto jumped to the No. 1 spot at 125 pounds in both the InterMat and FloWrestling rankings this week.

Gable Strickland, Wyatt Henson, Avery Bassett, Tyler Stoltzfus and Isaac Reid joined Noto in InterMat's national rankings this week.

Noto, who was ranked No. 2 last week by InterMat, racked up 34 wins (34-4) last season on the way to a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Championships.

Noto's season-debut could potentially feature a No. 1 vs. No. 2 matchup as Arizona State's Richie Figueroa is ranked No. 2 this week. Figueroa is one of seven Arizona State wrestlers ranked individually this week. Army (0-1) also has a cast of ranked individuals, setting the stage for an exciting start to the dual schedule.

The Bald Eagles and Arizona State met back in 2019 (Jan. 25) and then-ranked No. 22 Lock Haven upset then-ranked No. 12 Arizona State, 23-14 in front of nearly 3,000 fans at a sold-out Red Lion High School. Lock Haven and Army last met in 2020 (Jan. 25) in The Haven, and Army – ranked 19th in the nation at the time – won, 26-9.

Last season, Lock Haven went 8-7 overall in dual matches.
