Men’s Wrestling set for Collegiate Duals Tuesday (Dec. 19)

No. 21 Bald Eagles set to take on No. 2 NC State, No. 12 Ohio State and No. 14 Northern Iowa at the Collegiate Duals, scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 19 in Nashville, Tennessee.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The No. 21 Lock Haven men's wrestling team will return to dual action on Tuesday, Dec. 19 as the Bald Eagles are set to compete against elite competition at the 2023 Collegiate Duals, to be held at Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville, Tennessee.
 
All three of Lock Haven's scheduled opponents are ranked among the top-15 this week in InterMat's Team Tournament rankings. The Bald Eagles will open the day Tuesday (Dec. 19) vs. No. 2 NC State at 3 p.m. EST (2 CDT) and then take on No. 12 Ohio State at 5 p.m. EST (4 CDT). Lock Haven will close the three-match day vs. No. 14 Northern Iowa at 7 p.m. EST (6 CDT) The Bald Eagles checked in at No. 21 in this week's rankings.
 
Leading the way for the Bald Eagles is returning All-American Anthony Noto, who is undefeated (6-0) this season. He's ranked second this week at 125 pounds. Noto will return to action for first time since winning George Mason's Patriot Open on Dec. 3.
 
Noto was one of two Bald Eagles nationally-ranked this week individually by InterMat. Isaac Reid checked in at No. 28 at 285.
 
Lock Haven's lineup will get a highly-anticipated boost from Colin Fegley and Tyler Stoltzfus.
 
A national-qualifier last season, Stoltzfus (174) is expected to make his 2023-24 season debut Tuesday in Nashville. 
 
Fegley (184) returned to the lineup last weekend at the Cleveland State Open (Dec. 9) and picked up a pair of wins. He had not competed since Lock Haven's season-opener on Nov. 5 at the Princeton Open.
 
Along with Noto and Stoltzfus, Gable Strickland (133) was a national qualifier for Lock Haven. All three will look to the lead the way for the Bald Eagles next week.
 
The Haven (0-2) will be in search of its first dual win this season. Last season, the Bald Eagles went 8-7 overall in duals.
