Opponent History:

The battle with Bloomsburg on Thursday will mark the 78th meeting in the local rivalry, with the Bald Eagles holding a distinct 48-29 advantage all-time, including seven in row. On January 15, 2022, The Haven traveled to Bloomsburg and notched a dominant 34-9 win over the Huskies.

After an 84-year old rivalry on Thursday, the Bald Eagles will meet Navy for just the fourth time on Friday. Most recently in 2019, Lock Haven earned a 19-15 win in the “Rumble in the Jungle,” but the Midshipmen hold a slight 2-1 lead in the overall series. Friday’s dual will also serve as a homecoming for Navy head coach and former Bald Eagle Cary Kolat, who was a two-time NCAA Division I national champion (1996 & 97) and the career winning percentage leader (111-7) during his time as a Bald Eagle. Also on staff for the Midshipmen, volunteer assistant coach Dan Neff was a 2015 All-American for LHU in 2015 at 149 pounds.
