Lacrosse Falls to Kutztown on the Road

The Lock Haven lacrosse team fell to Kutztown on the road this afternoon in PSAC East-West crossover action.

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University lacrosse team (1-3) fell to Kutztown University (4-0), 18-6, on the road this afternoon. Leading the way for The Haven was Gabby Gunnip (Jordan, N.Y./Jordan Elbridge) as she recorded a hat trick.
 
Today's game, Lock Haven's third on the road this season, served as the final contest before the Bald Eagles open Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division play next week.
 
Abby Katrinak (Strongsville, Ohio/ Strongsville) scored twice to go along with Gunnip's three-goal game, and Casey Hibbard (Ontario, N.Y./Wayne Central) also netted a goal today for Lock Haven.
 
Emma Williams (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) dished out two assists and Nadia Baskot (Damascus, Md./Damascus) recorded one helper on the day.
 
Abby Hampson (Adamstown, Md./Tuscarora) chipped in with four draw controls and LHU goalkeeper Dana Mirigliano (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) finished with eight saves and four ground balls.
 
Up Next for Lock Haven:
After playing three of their first four game of the season the road, the Bald Eagles will return home to Charlotte Smith Field for a Wednesday, March 15, game versus Mercyhurst. The game is set for a 1 p.m. start and will serve as Lock Haven's 2023 PSAC Western Division opener. LHU is 1-0 at home this season.
