LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University lacrosse team (3-5, 2-2 PSAC West) got goals from nine different players and the Bald Eagles rolled by visiting Edinboro (2-6, 0-3 PSAC West), 17-3, today in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division action.
With the win, LHU move back to a level .500 in league play (2-2) and the Bald Eagles remained perfect at home this season. To date this year, Lock Haven is 3-0 on Charlotte Smith Field.
Behind hat tricks from three different players, The Haven offense rolled. Lock Haven led 13-2 at halftime.
Gabby Gunnip (Jordan, N.Y./Jordan Elbridge),
Josey Shaffer (Westminster, Md./Manchester Valley), and
Gracie Chaires (Darlington, Md./Harford Technical) all netted hat tricks in the win.
Brynlee Pinschenat (Columbus, Ohio/Worthington Kilbourne) and
Kaitlyn Collins (Ringwood, N.J./Lakeland Regional) both scored twice.
Nadia Baskot (Damascus, Md./Damascus),
Abby Katrinak (Strongsville, Ohio/ Strongsville),
Peyton Masters (Powell, Ohio/Olentangy Liberty), and
Emma Schiemer (Prince Frederick, Md./Huntingtown) all added a goal in the victory.
The Bald Eagles exciting offensive unit fired off 40 total shots (40-10) and LHU held an impressive 24-14 advantage in ground balls.
Gunnip directed the attack and she dished out three assists to go along with her three goals for the remarkable six-point game.
Lock Haven was credited with 13 caused turnovers, including three from Chaires, who also had three ground balls.

Dana Mirigliano (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) picked up the win with two first-half saves.
Sydney Schramm (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville) made two incredible saves in the second half.
