EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. –
Delaney Good (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg) and
Summer Peters (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) both broke records today to highlight the Lock Haven softball team's 2023 regular season-finale at East Stroudsburg (36-14, 24-8 PSAC East).
The Bald Eagles dropped both games of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division doubleheader. Host-ESU won game one, 4-1, and the Warriors completed the sweep with a 5-1 game-two victory.
Good and Peters continued to perform at the plate and ended their strong offensive regular-seasons with a record-breaking days.
Good's single in the top of the fifth inning in game two ran her season total to 76 hits, which broke Courtney Hughes' single-season school record of 75 hits, set back in 2006.
Peters recorded a double in each game and finished the regular season with 17 doubles, the most ever in a single-season. The previous record was 16, also set by Hughes in 2005, as well as former standout McKenna Garlock (2016). Hughes is a Lock Haven Hall of Famer (Class of 2017) and former All-American, and Garlock was an All-Region and All-PSAC honoree.
Peters now has 33 career doubles, which moves her into a three-way tie for the No. 10 spot on the all-time career list.
With today's result in hand, Lock Haven finished the regular season at 24-24 overall and the Bald Eagles finished PSAC East play at 14-18,
Lock Haven entered today's action, the final games of the regular season for the Bald Eagles, in the No. 5 spot in the PSAC Eastern Division standings and one game up on Bloomsburg after splitting with the Huskies at home yesterday. The top five teams from the Eastern Division will qualifying for next week's PSAC Tournament. Before today started, the top four seeds were locked up in the East as it's a battle for the fifth and final spot.
As it stands, Lock Haven remains in the No. 5 spot, but Bloomsburg has two games remaining.

Game 1 Recap: East Stroudsburg 4 – Lock Haven 1
Host-ESU scored four runs on eight hits and won game one today, 4-1.
Leading the way in game one for Lock Haven was Peters who had two hits (2-for-3) including her important double in the second inning, which tied the school record.
Kinley Gioglio (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) threw three solid innings of relief. She struck out four and allowed just three hits.

Peters' record-breaking double came in the third inning and Good's record-breaking hit helped highlight the game-two effort for Lock Haven.
Bella Schmitt (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern York) produced a double in game two and
Morgan Karasek (Bangor, Pa./Bangor) had two hits.
Gioglio pitched three innings in relief in game two and finished with two strikeouts.
Good finished the regular season with 33 stolen bases, the third-most in school history for a single-season. She also scored 55 runs, the second-most ever for a single-season.
