LEWISBURG, Pa. – Several throwers from the Lock Haven men's and women's outdoor track and field team were in action today (Sunday, April 30) at the Bloomsburg Maroon & Gold Invitational. Please note, the throwing events were held today at Bucknell University under dark and damp skies.
Nathan Fetchkan (Newville, Pa./Big Spring) led the way for The Haven men. He was seventh of 12 in the hammer throw with a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) championship qualifying mark of 148-03. Fetchkan was also sixth of 10 in the shot put (44-01.25).
Keegan Gwinn (Tyrone, Pa./Tyrone) placed seventh of nine in the javelin throw.
On the women's side, both
Julia Beck (Irwin, Pa./Norwin) and
Mallory Eck (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) turned in solid days. Eck was fifth of 14 in the discus throw (106-03) and she was seventh of nine in the shot put. Beck threw 142-01 in the hammer and placed sixth of 15.

The Bald Eagles will return to action on May 5-6 (Fri. – Sat.) when they host the 2023 LHU Qualifier. Friday's action will start at 5 p.m. and will include the men's and women's hammer throw, 5K and 10K.
