The Lock Haven field hockey team is set to host Lehigh Friday (Sept. 1) night at 7 p.m.
It marks The Haven's (1-0) second straight home game and comes before the Bald Eagles' first road test of the season. The Bald Eagles will cap a two-game weekend Sunday, Sept. 3 at Colgate (12 p.m.).
What you need to know:
- The 2-23 season-opener marked the debut for first-year head coach Anna Rogers and it didn't take long for her to collect her first career victory.
- Sunday's (Aug. 27) 7-0 season-opening victory at home over Queens marked Lock Haven's 10th straight victory on the home turf at Charlotte Smith Field. The Bald Eagles went a perfect 9-0 at home last season, the team's first undefeated season at home since 2003.
- The seven goals scored vs. Queens marked the most goals scored in a game for Lock Haven since the Bald Eagles registered six on September 24, 2021 vs. Bellarmine (W, 6-2). The shutout was the first for The Haven since a 1-0 win over Richmond last season on October 14, 2022.
- The lopsided season-opening win over Queens marked the ninth straight season where Lock Haven has opened a new campaign with a victory.
- Lock Haven has won six straight vs. Lehigh including the 2022 season-opener on the road.
- Last season, the Bald Eagles beat Colgate, 2-1 in overtime.
