SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The No. 16 Lock Haven women's basketball team won its 17^th straight game of the 2023-24 season on Saturday (Jan. 27) with a 59-48 road victory at Shippensburg University.
 
After a first half that ended in a tie, the Bald Eagles outscored the Raiders 29-18 in the second half to earn a dominate victory on the road and keep its historic win streak alive.
 
The historic season continues for Lock Haven, who has now won 17 straight games after dropping its opener to start the season. The Haven, who already own the program's consecutive win record, continues to extend the streak to unprecedented territory.
 
Lock Haven, who earned the 16^th-ranking in the D2CSC National Poll earlier this week, improves to 17-1 overall and remains a perfect 12-0 in the conference. The Bald Eagles also improve to a perfect 9-0 away from Thomas Fieldhouse.
 
With just two games remaining in the first half of the PSAC Eastern Division schedule, the Bald Eagles hold a four-game lead at the top of the PSAC East. Lock Haven joins Gannon (20-1, 12-0 PSAC West) as the only remaining unbeaten teams in either division.
 
Jenadia Jordan (York, Pa./Linden Hall) continued her strong run on the offensive end as she powered the second-half outburst with 20 points (7-of-15), adding four rebounds, three assists and three steals. Jordan has scored in double figures in every game this season, while netting 20 points for the fifth time.
 
Alana Robinson (Rockaway, N.J./Pope John Paul II) filled the stat sheet with 12 points, nine rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal.
 
Taylor Leidy (Alexandria, Pa./Juniata Valley) rounded out the trio in double figures, as she scored 10 points. Madeline Evans (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg) matched Robinson with a team-high nine rebounds.
 
Shippensburg drops to 3-16 overall and 2-11 in the PSAC.
 
Coming out of the break knotted at 30-30, the Bald Eagles erupted on a 13-0 run to open up the third period behind eight points from Jordan.
 
The Bald Eagles outscored the Raiders, 22-4 in the third period, finishing 8-of-13 from the field (62 percent), while holding Shippensburg to 1-of-12 shooting (eight percent). Lock Haven also forced six turnovers.
 
The Haven never looked back from there and a Carly Fitzmorris (Hamburg, N.J./Pope John XXIII) jumper under the four-minute mark put the game out of reach with a 17-point point advantage (57-40).
 
In the first half, Shippensburg outshot The Haven from the field, but the Bald Eagles knocked down four three-pointers while the Raiders only netted one to make up the difference.
