Game Recap: Field Hockey |

Field Hockey falls late at Davidson

The Bald Eagles traveled to North Carolina to take on Davidson in an Atlantic-10 battle on Friday night.

DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Lock Haven field hockey team scored twice in the second half to cut the deficit to one late, but Davidson held on at home to earn a 3-2 Atlantic-10 (A-10) victory on Friday night (Oct. 25).

Constanza Lopez Zabala scored twice in the second half off helpers from Brooke Hofsass, but Davidson's 2-0 first-half lead and eventual game-winning goal in the third period proved to be the difference.

Zabala improved her goal total on the season to four after scoring twice on corner-play opportunities set up by Hofsass. Hofsass now has a team-high five assists on the year.

After taking two shots in the first half, The Haven more than tripled that effort in the second half with seven, while finishing with four on goal in the contest.

The Bald Eagles led 5-3 in penalty corners.

Lock Haven goalkeeper Kelsey Felix made a game-high five saves in cage.
