LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven women's volleyball team soared to a 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-16) sweep over Kutztown to kick off the final weekend of the regular season on Friday night (Nov. 15) inside Thomas Fieldhouse.
Friday marked the Bald Eagles return to Thomas Fieldhouse for the first time in seven matches.
The Bald Eagles controlled all three sets and finished with a match-high nine aces and 38 kills, while forcing 19 Kutztown errors.
The Haven outscored the Golden Bears 56-32 in the match and held Kutztown to a match-low .056 hit percentage.
Lock Haven clinched the 3-0 sweep with a convincing 25-16 victory in the third set.
Kelly Gaston led the way on offense and defense as she finished with 28 assists and five service aces to go with 18 digs.
Madison Eckley also shined on defense and matched Kelly's team high in digs.
Natalie Acevedo led the team in kills with 10, while also adding 11 digs and two aces.
Gracelynn Wolzen finished with six digs, while
Alyssa Daley and
Evie Jane Rembold added five each.
The Bald Eagles improve to 6-17 overall and 4-9 in the PSAC East. Kutztown moves to 1-26 overall and 0-13 in conference play.
