JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Lock Haven women's basketball team officially opened its 2024-25 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) crossover schedule by visiting Western Division foe University of Pitt-Johnstown and the Bald Eagles soared to a 73-54 victory on Friday night (Nov. 22).
The Bald Eagles won their third straight game to improve to 4-1 overall and 1-0 in the PSAC. The Bald Eagles are coming off a perfect 6-0 season in 2023-24 against PSAC West opponents.
The Mountain Cats fall to 1-5 overall and 0-1 in the conference.
Kiera Baughman led three Bald Eagles in double figures as she scored 20 points on an efficient 8-of-12 night from the field. The graduate transfer also dished out a team-high six assists, plucked three steals and pulled in five rebounds.
Madeline Evans just missed a double-double as the sophomore poured in 18 points to go with nine rebounds.
Jenadia Jordan rounded out the Bald Eagles in double figures by scoring 12 points, while adding seven rebounds.
Alana Robinson led the defense with four steals, two blocks and seven rebounds, while
Sydney Lear added six rebounds off the bench.
After a 14-14 tie in the first quarter, the Bald Eagles took over and outscored the Mountain Cats the rest of the way.
Lock Haven knocked down 16-of-30 shots from the floor over the second and third period to outscore UPJ 43-26 during that span and run away with the victory.
The Haven finished with a game-high 11 steals and forced a game-high 17 UPJ turnovers.

The Bald Eagles remain on the road and will travel to Indiana (Pa.) for a PSAC East-West crossover battle on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 23) at 1 p.m.
