RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Lock Haven women's basketball team continues to roll in the early season and took down Felician, 63-52, on the road in a non-conference game on Friday night (Dec. 13).
With the victory, the Bald Eagles improve to 7-2 on the season and are now winners in six of their last seven games. Felician falls to 5-7 on the season.
The Bald Eagles led after every quarter but the third, however, Lock Haven responded with an 18-9 advantage in the final period to secure the victory.
Lock Haven forced a game-high 20 turnovers, forced nine steals and held Felician to under 40 percent shooting on the night.
Lock Haven had a slow shooting night from the floor but knocked down a game-high nine 3-pointers while holding Felician to just three makes from behind the arch.
The Bald Eagles' offense was powered by their long-range shooting, led by three trifectas each from
Jenadia Jordan,
Kiera Baughman and
Nufi Nemale-Djiegoue.
Jordan led three Bald Eagles in double figures and finished with 17 points and five rebounds.
Baughman added 15 points and Nemale-Djiegoue finished with 12 to lead the scorers.
Alana Robinson fished out a team-high four assists to go with two blocks and two steals, while reigning NCAA DII Player of the Week
Madeline Evans pulled in a game-high eight rebounds.
Adaliz Corbin also chipped in eight rebounds off the bench.
