Women’s Wrestling set to travel to Elmira on Thursday

Lock Haven will travel to No. 14 Elmira on Thursday, Dec. 5 for a top-15 clash. Alyssa Favara jumps to No. 4 in national rankings

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Lock Haven women's wrestling team is set to travel to No. 14 Elmira on Thursday, Dec. 5 in a top-15 clash.

National Rankings:
Lock Haven checks in at No. 15 in the latest National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) poll. The Bald Eagles are coming off an impressive showing at the Warrior Duals finishing with a 5-1 record.  

In addition, Freshman Alyssa Favara is ranked No. 4 at 207. Favara is a perfect 12-0 on the season claiming titles at the Princeton Open and Adrian Invitational. Favara has four pins and five tech falls. 

Last Time Out:
The Bald Eagles traveled to East Stroudsburg on Saturday, Nov. 23 for the Warrior Duals. Lock Haven went 5-1 on the day picking up wins over Southern Virginia, Utica, Liberty, Marymount, and Western New England. 

The Haven dropped their match versus East Stroudsburg, 27-20.

Lily Sherer (131) was a perfect 6-0 at the Warrior Duals. She finished with 4 tech falls, and one pin, and earned a 5-2 decision victory over East Stroudsburg's Zoe Gress.
