No. 14 Women’s Basketball hosts Kutztown Wednesday (Feb. 7)

LOCK HAVEN, Pa.– The No. 14 Lock Haven women's basketball team returns home to Thomas Fieldhouse on Wednesday (Feb. 7) to host Kutztown University at 5:30 p.m. in a battle of Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division schools.
 
The Bald Eagles lone contest of the week is Wednesday vs. Kutztown.
 
The Haven downed KU, 64-49, earlier this season on Jan. 10 when it tied the previous program record of 13 consecutive victories. The Bald Eagles shattered that record by going on to win 19 straight before dropping its first conference game of the season on Saturday at West Chester.
 
The first-place Bald Eagles enter Saturday with an outstanding record of 19-2 overall and 14-1 in the PSAC. Kutztown, who is currently in third place in the east, enters the week with a 12-9 record and 10-5 mark in conference.
 
Lock Haven has the weekend off before returning to the court next Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. to host East Stroudsburg University.  
 
Lock Haven also holds the No. 3 ranking in the D2CSC Atlantic Region rankings, announced on Monday, Feb. 5.
 
The Bald Eagles have locked a berth to the PSAC Postseason Tournament and will now have their sites set on clinching the one seed in the Eastern Division with seven games remaining in the regular season.
 
The Haven remains on top of the East with a 14-1 conference record and hold a three-game lead over second-place West Chester. Lock Haven and the Golden Rams split the season series 1-1.
 
The Bald Eagles are unbeaten at home, winning all nine of its games in front of the home crowd.

The No. 14 Bald Eagles dropped their first PSAC contest of the season on Saturday afternoon (Feb. 3), 58-49, at West Chester.
 
The defeat ends the Bald Eagles historic run of 19 consecutive victories, which is a program-record that will live eternally in Lock Haven women's basketball history.
 
In a battle of the top two schools in the PSAC East, the game proved to be as advertised for the full 40 minutes, especially on the defensive end.
 
For the Bald Eagles, Jenadia Jordan led the way with 14 points on 6-of-11 shooting.
 
Alana Robinson secured her fourth double-double of the season, as she finished with 13 points and a game-high 16 rebounds. The sophomore also blocked three shots, which improved her season total to 53, tying her own single-season block record from her freshman season.
 
Taylor Leidy led the way in assists, finishing with five. Madeline Evans added nine points, eight rebounds and two steals.
