Softball set for busy week on the road, announces make-up date for Chestnut Hill game

The Bald Eagles will compete in six non-conference games this week beginning Tuesday (March 12).

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven softball team is set for a busy week of six non-conference games as it continues to build momentum before the upcoming Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) schedule.
 
The Bald Eagles kick off the week in Philadelphia to face Holy Family on Tuesday (March 12) for a 2 p.m. doubleheader.
 
Lock Haven has a quick turnaround and will travel to Wilmington, Del. to take on Goldey-Beacom on Wednesday (March 13) in a non-conference doubleheader at 1 p.m.
 
Lock Haven concludes the week by making up Monday's postponed doubleheader at Chestnut Hill, with the new date scheduled for Sunday (March 17), with a noon start.
 
The Bald Eagles enter the week with a 2-6 overall record after kicking off its spring training schedule.
 
The Bald Eagles went 2-0 on Sunday, March 3 with victories over Elizabeth City State and University of Mount Olive at the Mount Olive Tournament.
 
The program's single-season hit record holder, Delaney Good, has picked off right where she finished last season and leads the club with an impressive .524 batting average with a team-high 11 hits and six runs.
 
Summer Peters leads the team in slugging, with two home runs and six RBIs.
 
Five different pitchers have entered the circle for Lock Haven through the young season and are led by Faith Persing, who has struck out five hitters and allowed 12 runs in 18.1 innings of work.
