LOCK HAVEN, Pa. –The Lock Haven tennis team fell in its 2024-25 season opener to Clarion 5-2, on Sunday (Sept. 15).
Sunday's match served as the Bald Eagles opener at the Lock Haven Tennis Courts.
Clarion won two out of three matches in doubles to earn the doubles-team point.
At No. 3 doubles,
Alaina Marchioni and
Gianna Balchun defeated Taelyn Thomas and Caidyn Demchak 6-2.
In singles play, the Bald Eagles were victorious in two matches.
At No. 4, Marchioni swept Polia Vladeva, 6-4 and 6-1. In the No.6 singles match,
Maggie Blasetti defeated Demchak.
Lock Haven moves to 0-1 and Clarion improves to 1-2.
UP NEXT:
The Bald Eagles will travel to Lycoming on Tuesday, Sept. 17 for a 4 p.m. match.
