LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven women's soccer team closed the book on Homecoming Weekend with a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern division showdown with West Chester on Sunday afternoon (Sept. 29) at Hubert Jack Stadium. The Bald Eagles fell to the Golden Rams, 4-1.

West Chester kicked off the scoring with a goal in the 11
th minute, but Lock Haven responded just six minutes later to knot the score at 1-1.
Janessa Swartz sent a perfect lead pass to
Sydney Stahl, who found the back of the net by sending a chip shot over the leaping Golden Rams' keeper. The goal was the first of the season for Stahl.
West Chester struck again in the 21
st minute to take a 2-1 lead into the break.
In the second half, the Bald Eagles held the Golden Rams in check for the opening 15 minutes, but WCU extended its lead to 4-1 with a pair of goals in the 60
th and 66
th minute to put the game out of reach.
In net, Lock Haven goalkeeper
Megan Miller finished with game-high four saves.
Evelyn Ciaccia led the attack with three shots, including two on goal.
With the result, Lock Haven moves to 1-3-3 overall and 1-3-1 in the PSAC East, while West Chester improves to 4-2 overall and 3-2 in the conference.
